Setup & launch:

On the highest point in Oklahoma City, Lake Hefner is about five miles north of downtown. Take I-44 north toward Hefner parkway (highway 74), and exit onto Britton road. Go west to the lighthouse, and turn north about tow blocks until the road ends. Rig in the grassy area right next to the water. For more information fell free to call me at phone n# 405-558-1980. Conditions:

Bring your 10 –through 14- meter kites. During the best season, the wind turns extremely gusty and the water is choppy, so expect a wild ride.

Best season:

Visit March through June or September through November, when the storm activity is the highest. Although there are some warm, windy days in December through February, you should pack a wetsuit or dry suit.

Local shops:

there is No local shops yet in oklahoma maybe in the near future if there is enough riders to support the business. although you can check with me for new and used equipments for sale.

Lake Hefner:

More then 500,000 Oklahoma residents depend on Lake Hefner for fresh water. It’s just as important for the 30 or so kiteboarders who rely on the man-made lake for wind and smooth, flat water. With biking and running trails outlining the lake, there is always a captive audience for your kite loops. But beware: those pesky news helicopters are always putting kiteboaders on TV.
